Abstract:

The care of nurses requires a praxis that holds scientific and technical knowledge in wide dimensions. In the Family Health Strategy, this care acquires a dialogical and emancipatory perspective through health education. Longitudinal care at each meeting provides an opportunity for dialogue, in a construction of truth that must be translated into an experience open to reframing. Therefore, the aim of this study was to reflect on the educational care of nurses in the Family Health Strategy based on the Gadamerian language. This is an essay produced in May 2019 considering the lessons learned in the discipline ‘Philosophy of science in nursing and health’, offered in the doctorate of the postgraduate program ‘Clinical care in nursing and health’. The reflection took place in two chapters entitled 'The nurse and educational care in the FHS - Challenges to nurses' and 'Language in the context of the FHS and the educational care of nurses - an anchorage in Gadamer', contemplating that the dialogue brings a meaning and a communion in the relationship between nurse and user, stimulating balance and well-being, with guidelines that can guarantee their autonomy and collaboration, which is one of the great challenges for nurses in their clinical practice and educational care.
